Your answer via one photo, video or blog post could land you a $1,000 OSU scholarship.

Any current OSU undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing.

OSUccess is a social media-driven student competition, sponsored by the OSU Foundation that asks students to answer a question via an entry comprised of either a 300 word blog entry, a 30 second video or a high-resolution photo.

Contest entries will be collected through midnight, February 20, 2010.The winners will be announced at the Student Union Atrium at 11:00 a.m. on Feb. 26 as part of a major university event.

On the Submit page, just fill out the form and attach your submission.  It’s as easy as attaching a file to an e-mail.

The better question is, “why not?”  With 10 guaranteed scholarship winners, including one from every entry category, one from every satellite campus, and a couple chosen at random, what have you got to lose?  By submitting an entry you also are lending your unique perspective on what success sounds like, looks like and is becoming at OSU.

All submissions must be your original writing, video or photography. Upon submission of your entry you will receive a confirmation email stating that your entry was received.

By placing an entry into this scholarship contest, I hereby proclaim to be the rightful owner of the text, photograph or video (MEDIA) I am submitting for my OSUCCESS.com scholarship entry and that I have obtained any licenses or permissions required to avoid violations of copyright laws or any other applicable law for use of the MEDIA.. I hereby proclaim to completely transfer all ownership of said MEDIA and give my permission to the Oklahoma State University Foundation and its agents or employees, to use the MEDIA submitted by me for use in any publication which may include printed or electronic media, or both.

One entry per person per semester will be accepted.

Furthermore, I give permission to the Oklahoma State University Foundation to use my name in conjunction with said MEDIA. I understand that the Oklahoma State University Foundation is under no obligation to use this MEDIA.

I hereby relinquish any right to inspect or approve the completed product or products which may include the MEDIA furnished by me, advertising copy or any other printed or electronic matter that may be used in conjunction with them now or in the future, whether that use is known to me or unknown, and I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of said MEDIA.

I hereby agree to release and hold harmless the Oklahoma State University Foundation and its agents or employees, including any firm publishing and/or distributing the finished product or products in whole or in part, whether on paper or via electronic media, from and against any claims, damages or liability arising from or related to the use of said MEDIA, including but not limited to any misuse, distortion, blurring, alteration, optical illusion or use in composite form, either intentionally or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in taking, processing, reduction or production of the finished product, its publication or distribution.
